Fundy Treasures Goes to the Canadian Country Music Awards!

Wow!  What an amazing weekend!  Here is your inside scoop on what it’s like to be a part of the Canadian Country Music Association Award Gift Lounge!

We were recently selected as the Wild Card winner from Langille and Colburne-More Than Events as one of 20 Nova Scotia businesses to take part in the Gift Lounge at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards on September 12th and 13th.

Langille and Colburne planned the event and the design skills of By+Large Design Studios transformed the 3rd floor of the World Trade and Convention Center into an East Coast Kitchen Party.

Langille and Colburne were so kind to think that Brian’s Bay of Fundy agate guitar picks would be a perfect fit for the nominees, presenters and CCMA VIPs.  We also brought along our Fundy Treasure Candles and a few pieces of Blomidon Bling Jewelry to showcase some of the different things we do with Bay of Fundy agate.

We were in the lounge from 10-4 each day along with 19 other amazing Nova Scotia businesses who were all so wonderful to be around and brought along such quality products!  My Home Apparel, Seafoam Lavender, Rubs that Rub, Pure Maple Syrup and Sarah Duggan Creative Works just to name a few!

We got to spend the weekend next to the Cape Breton Fudge Company!   WOW! If you've never tried their fudge you really need to!  It's the best and they are such great people!!

It was exciting to meet such kind and down to earth CCMA VIPs.  They seemed genuinely excited to see our products, especially the guitar picks, as many of them had never seen a pick quite like it.  They took their time to choose the pick they connected with and were very appreciative of the time it took to handcraft each one.

Madeline Merlo was the winner of the Rising Star Award!

We were able to meet and chat with most of the nominees and presenters and we really appreciated being able to get a photo with many of them.  A big highlight after the event was receiving tweets from some of the nominees who were so kind to give us a shoutout!

Lisa won the award for All-Star Band- Bass!

Johnny Reid won Fan's Choice Award!

Lindi Ortega loves her new pick!  She won the award for Best Roots Artist!

Twin Kennedy nominated for Interactive Artist of the Year- "Thanks so much... your picks are beautiful works of art, we can't wait to play with them!"

Zoe Neuman of the Lovelocks nominated for Roots Artist of the Year- "We LOVE our beautiful stone picks! Thank you!"

Mike Robins of Autumn Hill nominated for Best Group or Duo of the Year- "Thanks so much, love the picks!"

Jason Hastie and the Alibi- "Can't wait to play with the stone guitar  picks!"

Ryan Davidson- winner of the All-Star Band Award for Guitar- "I love the new guitar pick, thank you Brian and Laura."

We are so thankful for the positive feedback from the nominees and their bandmates!

The awards show was broadcast last night and it was neat to see a lot of the great people we met and the performances were so entertaining!  We loved our time in the gift lounge and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Though we didn't get to officially meet them, we did have the opportunity to write a personal note and gift picks to Florida Georgia Line which was also pretty awesome!

Thank you to everyone who wished us well and congratulated us!  It was such an amazing opportunity for Fundy Treasures!
