About Don Reid
An astute, keen-eyed explorer with a lifelong passion for the fossils of his native Joggins, Don Reid could be found along the cliff section just about every day of his long life, collecting fossils that the tide would otherwise destroy. Many of these are now housed in the Joggins Fossil Centre. His passion helped bring Joggins to wider public attention in recent decades and led to the honorary designation “Keeper of the Cliffs”
